“Even youths grow tired and weary, and young men stumble and fall; but those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint.”

Isaiah 41:30-31

Youth on Fire

There is nothing more valuable we can give to teens than faith and hope in Jesus Christ. Because YCOG loves kids, we understand the value in a dynamic youth ministry. Our youth leader, AJ Smith, along with a great volunteer staff, lead a Wednesday night group called “Youth on Fire” each week from 6:30 to 8:00. Starting with high energy fun and team building, leading into Bible study and discussion, kids get a good Biblical foundation and what it means to follow Jesus as their Lord and Savior.

Each summer, our teens are part of the leadership for the VBS program at YCOG. High school teens are also invited to participate in a summer mission trip. Throughout the year, teens raise funds so they are able to travel somewhere in the United States where they can be the hands and feet of Jesus. They join with a mission trip organization called Youthworks, for a week of personal devotions, serving one another, and serving a community in need. The location changes every year, so kids also experience a different local culture.

Camp YoLiJwa

Church Camp is a great place for kids to meet Jesus and other Christians. Our Church Camp, YoLiJwa (Youth Living Jesus Way), has a summer camping ministry for kids and families. For more information on Camp YoLiJwa, check out their website.
