2011 Operation Christmas Child

Operation Christmas Child is a project of Samaritan’s Purse
“Your gift of love may be the door God uses to open a child’s heart to Jesus Christ”
Franklin Graham
President, Samaritan’s Purse

Once again, the Yocumtown Church of God is honored to participate in the Operation Christmas Child program for 2011.  Currently, we are in need of medium sized shoebox donations.  DON'T FORGET! All completed shoeboxes are due back at the church on next Sunday, November 13th for national collection week.

We will hold a shoebox wrapping party on Tuesday, October 18th at 6PM!!! Come join us!

For downloadable labels and information on How to pack your shoe box, click here.

Shoebox donations (ones that need to be filled) should be put in the coat room on the shelves above the coat racks. Any questions, please contact the church office at 938-6557.

On Sunday, October 9, 2011, the Operation Christmas Child brochures and labels will be located in the church foyer.  If you would like to participate in the program, you may choose to wrap your own shoebox and fill it with small toys and goodies (see gift suggestions on page 2) and specify if the gift is for a boy or girl in the appropriate age group.  Or, for those of you who are not wrappers, you may use the already wrapped shoeboxes which will be provided by the church following our Shoebox Wrapping Get Together in October (TBA).
