Celebrate!

According to Bible Gateway, the Old Testament uses the word “celebrate” 68 times. God commanded His people to “celebrate a festival to the Lord,” (Ex. 10:9) to “celebrate the Festival of Unleavened Bread,” (Ex. 12:17) and to “celebrate the Festival of Weeks.” (Ex. 34:22)

In Exodus, it says, “Three times a year you are to celebrate a festival to me.” (Ex. 23:14) There are many other references to celebrations throughout church history. Each Sunday, we gather together to celebrate the resurrection of our Savior, Jesus Christ.

Our heavenly Father wants us to celebrate! He wants us to remember what He has done for us.

“There is a time for everything, and a season for every activity under heaven.” (Ecclesiastes 3:1)

This month, we have a season to celebrate. Our church family will honor our graduating seniors on June 2nd and present each of them with a Life Application Bible. Graduating from Red Land High School are: Jackie Miller, Chaz Munoz, and Austin Reed. Allyson Blankenship will be graduating from North Eastern School District.

In addition to our graduating seniors, we will also celebrate with two students who are graduating from elementary school: Aubry Garrett and Ashlyn Wright, and one young lady who just graduated from preschool, Mila Castro. Each of them will be presented with a Bible.

Congratulations to each of you for your accomplishments! We are blessed that you are part of our church family and hope to continue to be an important part of your lives.

We have many seasons in our lives and many things to celebrate. May the joy of the Lord fill your heart this season and always.

See you at the church!

Pastor Steff
